Montreal Visit List of Lists, Young Family Edition
Went to Montreal in spring of 2024 to catch some poutine and maybe a solar eclipse. The smallest human with us got a fever the first night we were there so we spent a lot of time close to the airbnb but caught a few sights the day he was better. Here’s a few lists I googled so you don’t have to. We definitely went to Patata Patati —the tiny one open until 2am on Saint Laurent Boulevard) and it was so fun for all three of us, plus spectators waiting in line in the window who could see the poutine-enthusiastic toddler having fun. It was a great city for delicious and varied takeout delivery, some chill people watching, some nice parks to stroll, and would’ve worked great that we were there over free museum day, but that’s okay. Excited to go back soon!

It was nice this was the third time I’ve been there with my partner, so we didn’t feel we were missing out on too much playing it lowkey.

Got St-Viator Bagels, ate it as a picnic (BYO cutlery!), visited the fun playground next to Jeanne-Mance Park https://maps.app.goo.gl/EEwZwQJuzB8No93F7?g_st=ic , and walked around the lower part of Mont Royal before the 18-month-old hit his nap window. I was a mean mom and didn’t let him join the fun-sounding TamTam drum party going on next to the Monument à sir George-Étienne Cartier (every Sunday)! I kind of regret it and kind of don’t.. :/ https://www.mtl.org/en/what-to-do/activities/mount-royal-park
